Call for Papers - Sub-Saharan Africa and Sustainable Development Goals

BRIEF PRESENTATION

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a global framework that aims to lead the efforts towards a more inclusive and sustainable world. Taking this in consideration, as well the online conference organized by CEAUP “Sub-Saharan Africa and the Sustainable Development Goals: perspectives, implementation and pressing issues”, this thematic dossier of the Journal Africana Studia aims to examine the contribution of African States to the SDGs, through the public, private and civil society sector. It also aims to the debate around the emerging alternatives on the African continent to the 2030 Agenda.

 

To contribute to a broad reflection and a participatory academic debate on the SDGs in Sub-Saharan Africa, papers that theorize and analyze the following thematic issues can be submitted:

 

THEMATIC ISSUES

  1. Environment, Energy and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
  2. Economy
  3. Education
  4. Gender
  5. Partnerships
  6. Health
  7. Public Policies
  8. Political Systems

 

LANGUAGES

Portuguese, French, Spanish and English.

 

 

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Submission Dates - Until November 30, 2021
  • Evaluation Dates - Until January 31, 2022
  • Publication dates - December 2022

 

All papers will be submitted to the journal's Editorial Board for review and subject to "blind peer review".

However, the editors reserve the right to make final decisions regarding publication.
