Resumo / Abstract

O combatente da luta de libertação colonial e o cidadão africano, duas facetas da personalidade de Amílcar Cabral intimamente associadas, porque se desenvolveram simultaneamente e se influenciaram mutuamente.
Amílcar Cabral e a Casa dos Estudantes do Império e o Centro de Estudos Africanos, em Lisboa, onde se formou o núcleo embrionário da coordenação da luta e libertação nas várias colónias portuguesas, o MDCP, o MAC, a FRAIN, a CONCP, o seu papel quando, depois do 25 de Abril, chegou o momento de negociar a transferência do poder.
A reflexão cultural de Amílcar Cabral como inspiração da sua acção política: a “reafirmação dos espíritos”, o “regresso às origens”, o ”papel da cultura na luta pela independência”.
A luta de libertação colonial e a sua ligação à luta contra a ditadura em Portugal.
As tentativas frustradas de Amílcar Cabral para levar o Estado Português a negociar.
O pensamento de Amílcar Cabral sobre a guerra de guerrilhas em “Palavras de Ordem”: o guerrilheiro, o revolucionário, o pensador, o político, generalizadamente considerado um dos maiores vultos da libertação de África.


The colonial freedom fighter and the African citizen are two sides of Amílcar Cabral’s personality, intimately associated because they have developed simultaneously and influenced each other.
Amílcar Cabral, the Casa dos Estudantes do Império and the Centre of African Studies, in Lisbon, where the embryonic nucleus for the coordination of the fight for liberation in several Portuguese colonies was formed. The MDCP, the MAC, the FRAIN, the CONCP and their role when, after the 25th April, the moment arrived to negotiate the transfer of power.
